Today we were measuring once more.
This time we were learning about capacity.
Capacity measures how much a container will hold.
We had to estimate how many of the full smaller containers it would take to fill a bigger container.
Estimating involves having a guess.
We found as we practiced, our estimations got closer and closer.
We had to make sure that we carefully filled the containers to get an accurate measurement.
It was a windy day so we had to be careful not to get sand in our eyes.

Maths in the sandpit was great fun for us all.
We learnt a lot about being accurate and measuring carefully.
After our work in the sandpit we went back to the classroom to talk about our learning with Miss Dean.
