Just Part of Our Very Busy Day

READING TO THE GRADE

Our amazing little readers are now able to read poems to the grade.  They choose a challenging and interesting poem.  They then read it over and over again until their reading sounds smooth, (fluent).  Then they read it to the whole grade.

MATHS

This week in Maths we have been learning about tens and ones.  Ask your child how many tens they would have in 24, and how many ones.

Keeping track of our growth over the year is always very exciting!

WEDNESDAY IS FRUIT DAY

We always look forward to Wednesdays because it is fruit days.  A big thank you goes out to all those wonderful Mums who come in on a Wednesday to prepare the fruit for us.

SPORT

We have been building our skipping skills during sport.  Everyone has a go, even when it is hard, and we are all getting better.  Just look at Aida go!

We also play co-operative games where we learn so many things like taking care of each other, taking turns, sticking to the rules and having fun.  Ask your child what games we play together.

LUNCH

We so look forward to our healthy lunches which are eaten together in class.

FREE PLAY

Every so often we get to have Free Play, especially during wet or very hot play times.  Ask your child what they like to do best during free play.

This is only part of our day, so now you will know why Mrs Krake is so tired at the end of one of our very busy days, even if we say that we are not!
