A Brilliant Day At The Zoo For All.

What an amazing day we all had on Wednesday.  It was a very early, and rather chilly start, but we were all there on time and all very excited.  The journey down seemed long, but finally we got there just in time to zip off to the Zoo School which was right next to the cutest animals of them all, the meerkats!

Zoo Trip 1

There was great excitement during the afternoon eating session when a peacock stopped in for a visit.  Offering him a few bits of our lunch really got him interested.  Keeping still got him close, and pretending to be dead got him really close as Freddie found out!

The picnic lunch was a great success, and even more so when the sun came out to make a great day just perfect!

We couldn't have had such a wonderful day without our amazing parent helpers. They worked tirelessly to ensure that all the children had a perfect day, getting to see all of their most favourite animals. So here's very big THANK YOU to you all

.
A taste of what we saw

We saw the funniest thing in the orangutan exhibit.  They had been given some tarpaulin sheets which they were hiding under and rolling in.  We  just laughed and laughed!  Look at the photo below.  Yes there is an orangutan there, making a cubby with his tarpaulin and some straw.

Aida certainly looks as if she is having fun on the wombat!

We all loved the butterfly house, even if it was hot and humid in there.

We loved the sleepy koalas.

Morgan this very tall giraffe.

The tiger gave us his back!
Freddie studied the map and found his way to the giraffe.
